Join our special tour to the Vivre Ensemble festival in Timbuktu where we'll be staying overnight and attending two days of live music and other cultural events. The price for this tour is £2995 (including return flights).
• Meet your driver and transfer to your hotel. We will meet for a group dinner in the evening.
• Early in the morning, we travel by private jet to Timbuktu. Here we will visit the grand mosque in the old medina, the centre of manuscripts, a 16th-century university mosque, and the house of Alexander Gordon Laing, the first European to visit Timbuktu.
• Afterwards, we visit the Ethnological Museum to see the Well of Buktu. We will also visit Koranic schools and the workshop of the last master calligrapher.
• Later in the afternoon, we will attend the Vivre Ensemble festival, a Tuareg culture and music event, created to promote peace in the region.
• Overnight in Timbuktu
• Today we will see more of the city and also attend more festival events including live music and camel racing!
• Transfer to the airport for our flight back to Bamako. Arrival estimated around 18:00.
