Set alongside the Atlantic Ocean are five small but magnificent West African nations: Togo, Benin, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Liberia. Wander among the vast sweep of African scenery, from the sun-soaked beaches to dense rainforests acting as the region's lungs, meet the mysterious locals with their rich fusion of cultures, and come face-to-face with big cats, pygmy hippos, elephants, and primates. West Africa: home to hospitality and adventure, history and music, people and wildlife. A twenty-four-day trek through this region won't allow you to see everything, but it's a good start.

Our journey starts in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia. This country used to be a former colony of America, the place where formerly enslaved people were repatriated. Monrovia is a lively city where you will see Providence Island, the National Museum, and much more. Next is Ivory Coast, the biggest nation in our tour. Outside the city of Man is the Monkey Forest, brimming with thousands of monkeys. Better watch your stuff; these sneaky creatures will take anything they can get their hands on! Then there's Ghana. A gorgeous fortress, erected by the Portuguese in the 15th century, sits by the sea on the Ghanian coast. It's called Elmina Castle. You will have the chance to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The penultimate West African nation we visit is Togo. An oddly shaped country with no shortage of remarkable sights. Here you'll see Cascade de Kpime Waterfall, Mount Agou, and Foret de Missahohe, to name a few. Last but not least is Benin. Once home to the Kingdom of Dahomey, you can still walk the halls of the Dahomey kings at the Royal Palace. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
