Situated on the northern coast of South America lies the fascinating country of Venezuela. It is home to the mountainous Andes region, charming colonial towns, the Amazon basin and the awe-inspiring Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world.
Our tour begins in Caracas, where we will delve into the country's distinct political history, visiting the Chavez's Mausoleum in the vibrant 23 de Enero neighbourhood. Next stop, we will fly to Canaima National Park and embark upon a four day expedition to Angel Falls. After briefly returning to Caracas we will head south to Lake Maracaibo and journey to the remote stilt village of Ologa. Here, you can witness the unique Catatumbo lightning phenomenon, the location with the most electric lightning storms on earth! Later, we will cross the Andes and enjoy our final days in Choroni and Chuao, two beautiful colonial towns on the Caribbean coast.
We will be running this tour once a year.
Whilst the security situation in Venezuela has improved, we will still monitor this closely and our itineraries may be altered depending on the situation at the time of the tour.
